"An artist is a dreamer consenting to dream of the actual world".- George Santayana
Celine is a Los Angeles-based artist and interior design enthusiast who specializes in abstract paintings. What started as a childhood joy of incorporating her love for aesthetics into her daily surroundings, has evolved into a lifelong passion for creating visceral works of art. Despite being drawn to all creative outlets, Celine ventured into the world of psychology, furthering her education and earning an advanced degree in School Psychology. It was during this chapter in her life, while working closely with children, that Celine was able to reconnect with her inner child and her childhood passions, thereby rediscovering her love for the arts and all things creative. She decided to enroll in art courses at The Brentwood Art Center where she found herself experimenting with various mediums in art for the next two years. In recent years, Celine also completed various coursework in art and design at UCLA, attended local artist workshops as well as designed and styled various interiors. Her first painting was aptly titled, 'Rediscovery' and is displayed in her own home as a reminder that dormant passions are to be rediscovered and honed.
Celine's varied background comes together in a collection which focuses on elegance and passion. Her vision is to offer artwork, style and creativity that integrates classic style and modern sophistication with a dose of dramatic edge. Her background in psychology allows her to marry visual expression of art with the therapeutic and emotional qualities evoked by the various colors. Inspired by music, poetry, nature, dimensional textures, gemstones, interior design, Feng Shui and extensive world travels; Celine's paintings are destined to beautify art collections around the world.
Celine has exhibited her work at solo exhibitions, private shows, group shows, fundraisers, most recently at Hangar Gallery in Santa Monica, Ferris State University in conjunction with the International Art Business Symposium in Grand Rapids, Michigan and at the Glendale Forest Lawn Museum, benefiting the Glendale Youth Alliance in Los Angeles. California. Recent affiliations include selective invitations to juried groups such as ArtHive as well as Laguna Art group.
